@SOHO
System Overview
Amanda@SOHO provides turnkey messaging for small or home-based offices
requiring a basic automated attendant, voice messaging and message notification
communications system. Amanda@SOHO delivers the baseline power of computer
telephony without the investment expenses and administrative overhead
of a complex system. Amanda@SOHO is a 4-port, non-expandable, system with
33 hours of voice storage capacity. She supports 1,000 user mailboxes,
each with over 125 messages, 3 custom greetings, 3 personal mailing lists
and 3 different message notification options.
Amanda@SOHO is a turnkey,
dedicated communications solution. This is a plug & play system, pre-configured
for a dozen switches including AT&T, Comdial, Inter-tel, Iwatsu, Panasonic,
Samsung, Toshiba and Vodavi. The Amanda@SOHO system is programmed and
maintained through the telephone user interface, therefore requires no
monitor or keyboard.
Automated Attendant
Amanda@SOHO can function as a main, backup, or off-duty attendant. Extensions
may be dialed directly, or your caller may use an employee directory to
locate individuals by either their first OR last name. Simple, single-digit
selections can be configured for easy and quick access to your company's
main departments.
Message Notification
With Amanda@SOHO, message waiting lamp notification is pre-set for every
mailbox. There are three additional notification records available, which
may be used for voice notification to an inside extension, voice notification
to an outside number, and pager notification with the mailbox number.
Voice Messaging
Amanda@SOHO provides callers with the option to leave a message for the
person or department they are calling. Messages can be marked "private",
which makes them unable to be forwarded to another mailbox, and/or "urgent",
which would cause it to be the first message played by recipient. After
leaving a message, callers have the option to dial another extension,
department, or the receptionist. Once a message is retrieved, it can be
forwarded to another person or a list of people.
Audiotext
Configurable "information only" mailboxes accommodate caller
access to any recorded information. Provides 24-hour access to frequently
asked questions ranging from hours, address and directions to promotional
or product-specific information.
Investment Protection
tAA's functional design specifications call for a common, standardized
platform for all Amanda products. As your communications requirements
change, you can migrate applications developed for the Amanda@SOHO platform
to a high-volume, CTI, or network telephony version of the Amanda suite
of products.
